Visa Types

The purpose of your travel determines the visa category:

• Business: The purpose of the travel is business, commercial activity;
• Sports, cultural or scientific activities: The purpose of the travel is to participate in sports, training, cultural exchange programs, tours and participation in conferences, workshops, etc.;
• Tourism : The purpose of the travel is holiday, recreation, health care programs;
• Invitation: The purpose of the travel is visiting relatives and friends who are Spanish nationals or citizens of other countries residing in Spain with valid residence permit or citizens not living in Spain, but owning real estate in Spain;
• Property owners: The purpose of the travel is visiting a property acquired in Spain;
• Sailors visa: The purpose of the travel is a professional activity on a ship;
• Studies (less than 90 days): The purpose of the travel is to attending language courses, refresher courses, internships, participation in student exchange programs;
• Transit: The purpose of the travel is a visit to a third country on transit through the territory of Spain.
