Application Procedure

The application for a Schengen visa has to be made in the Consulate of the country where the MAIN PURPOSE OF TRAVEL lies. Therefore, please check your travel plans before making your application to the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow. In case you are planning to travel to multiple Schengen countries, please make your application to the Consulate where you are going to stay for a longer time.

Applicants (excluding Travel Agents) wishing to apply for a transit visa or a short stay visa up to 90 days are required to submit their applications with all requisite documents at the Spain Visa Application Centers mentioned below.

Note: Applications for Long Stay visas (Studies of more than 90 days and Residence) must be submitted directly at the Consulate General of Spain, Moscow.

While submitting the application, the applicant must pay cash in roubles for the visa fee plus an additional handling fee of 1.180 roubles per application. These fees will not be refunded if the application is finally denied

For the urgent processing of any visa in less than 24 hours, you must pay the visa fee established, the additional fee of 1.180 roubles and a charge of 750 roubles for the cost of courier delivery.

The consideration of stay visa applications takes 3 working days (starting the day after to the date of submission) in Moscow and in St. Petersburg. The processing time for transit and Short Stay visas, requested by the nationals of BELORUSSIA, takes now 8 calendar days.

The visa application can’t be done earlier, than 3 months prior to the prospective trip.
