Attention Travellers
A visa is no guarantee for access into the Schengen States.
The final authorization remains within the competence of the Immigration Officer at the border. In addition to a valid passport with a visa (except for exempted nationals), every foreigner, when entering Spain, should be in a position to produce to the Immigration Officer the following documents:
 
Concerning his/her Stay in Spain
For tourism: hotel reservation
For a professional visit: letter from the employer and an invitation from a Spanish company or organization
Proof of a Medical Insurance, covering all type of expenses including doctors and/or hospital fees and social assistance
 
Concerning his/her Means of Living
Financial Guarantees: Job certificate indicating salary.
Money Availability: 57€ per day/ person or credit card with the extract of the bank account (extracts obtained in the Internet will not be admitted), travel checks or a recent certificate of exchanged currency.

Attention Visa Applicants
Applications for stay visas (Schengen) can be lodged WITHOUT appointment.
Payment of handling fee must be made cash in roubles at the Visa Application Centre. A visa application cannot be accepted until payment of the handling fee is received.

The Visa Application Centre is instructed NOT to accept incomplete files. Check this website (www.spainvac-ru.com) for the required documents.

If necessary, the applicant can be asked to provide additional information. The Consulate General can require the presence of visa applicants in its premises for an interview.
The consideration of stay visa applications takes 3 working days (starting the day after to the date of submission) in Moscow and in St. Petersburg.

According to a common new version, that must be followed by all the States member of the Schengen Agreement on the subject of visas, the processing time for transit and Short Stay visas, requested by the nationals of BELORUSSIA, takes now 15 calendar days.

Applicants for National visas (residence) can apply, in person or through an authorized representative, straight at the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow with appointment on working days between 08:00 and 14:00. Such appointment can only be made by calling to the Consulate General (phone 958 21 69). To apply for National Visas at the Consulate General of Spain in St. Petersburg, you can go directly to the Consulate or you can request an appointment by calling to the number (812) 7026266.
